INSURANCE AND PHYSIOTHERAPY
Our Policies
Your Club insurance is paid via members registration and claims for injuries are made by players or their guardians directly with "Willis Tower Watson". Insurance covers accidents and injuries which occur at training or matches. Any incident which may result in a claim must be reported to the club secretary directly, or by a team manager within 24 hours of occurring. The club reimburses A&E bills for injuries, and also subsidises physiotherapy for injuries incurred during a match or training when approved by a trainer or the club secretary in advance. The physiotherapy subsidy is €20, paid on return of receipt to the secretary. Our club physio, Sinead Doyle, charges €20 per session to Camogie Club members.

PILTOWN GAA CLUB - EST 1953
Piltown GAA Club was established in 1953 when the Parish Rule was established in Kilkenny. This followed several years of collaboration with other villages, and Owning and Templeorum having individual teams. 5 acres had been purchased from the Land Commission for £77 in 1945 and held in trust by local parish priests and Richard Keating (Clonmore). The main pitch was officially opened in 1965.
PITCH EXPANSION
The club began a fundraising carnival in 1961 to support pitch developments. A hurling tournament, amusements and live music in a marquee were organised every Easter.  In 1972 they purchased a further 12 acres from Isaac and Lily Tector, establishing a juvenile pitch and a Pitch and Putt course. When the popularity of the carnivals were dying out the club established the Hurlers Co-op Draw to fund the building of the GAA Complex and continued pitch development, which now includes astro-turf and match standard lighting.
